An unusual gold coiled rope work box with gilt winged solid and banded agate backed bees entering the hive. Set on a square onyx base with like feet. Interior lined, and the petitioned lid may have had inserts? Fine condition The hive 5.50 inches in diameter and 6.50 inches high.
