| The box is a visual explosion of dense polychrome enameling. The acanthus scrollwork enameling could be attributed to three Bohemian companies, Meyer's Neffe, Graf Harrach,or Lobmeyer. See Gary Baldwins book on Moser Artistic Glass, Plate 204. The beveled bronze color glass is set in a quadruple plate frame with makers marks for the American company Meriden Britannia (Est.1852). There is a geometric design on the silver plate of the frame, opener, and the splayed feet. The interior silk lining is original. The exterior is excellent, with only rubbing to the gilding on the beveled edges. Late 19th c. 9 1/4" x 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" | ||||||||||||||
