Mortar and pestle in the Ivorie Corbeille pattern from Quimper. Both pieces marked "Prades", so this is mostly like a piece meant as a token from a holiday. Great Breton in hat on the front. Excellent condition. Mortar is 6 1/2 inches across, pestle is 7 inches long.
A very unusual and charming French doll. He hung on a wall in a cafe in coastal Brittany, France. Dressed in the traditional striped sailors shirt, cap, and espadrills. He seems to be crafted out of a heavy plaster with glass eyes. Hook in his back where he hung. Almost 3 feet tall.
Very nice sailors valentine shell box. This was probably a keepsake from a seaside vacation in France. Box appears to be wood, lined with paper. Condition is good, age approximately 60 years.
