A very rare, unusually well formed, beautiful green glass Aryballos, dating to the 1st -2nd Century A.D.
The free-blown Aryballos with round body, slightly flattened base, short cylindrical neck and thick, folded rim. Two applied dolphin strap handles bilaterally, folded downwards and upwards at the neck.
Directly from Jerusalem, an ancient Biblical Roman Herodian "Jerusalem style" painted clay oil lamp. Two incised lines and two concentric circles on nozzle. High Ridge "Rim" around shoulders and around filling hole. The lamp has pigment of black paint!
