A very attractive ancient bronze Persian dagger from "Bronze Age Persia", dating to around 1200 -800 BC
The dagger is beautifully made with decorated pommel and a part of the hilt with limestone inlay untouched as found Measurements: Length: 34.5 cm - Width: 2.5 cm - Height on stand: 38 cm
Short swords or daggers such as this would have been used by the Persians in their battles with the Greeks, in their aspiration to gain control of the Middle-East.
The dagger is nicely displayed on a plexi-glass stand of high quality
Condition: Intact not repaired and not restored as found
This fantastic weapon has survived Intact and Untouched. It is aerodynamic, and enjoys a gorgeous green crystalized patina and age related encrustation
