Rare- PUNIC pottery lamp, 3RD Cent. BC
PUNIC Lamp, double wick
HELLENISTIC, 3rd Century A.D.

This lamp belong to the group of Punic lamps, most of which were found in the Necropolis of Carthage. Their form originates from the Eastern saucer lamps and was in use from the seventh to the second centuries B.C.

They were widely exported to Mediterranean countries.

Dimensions:
Length: 9.5 cm
Width: 8 cm

Condition: Good condition, not repaired and not restored with age weathering patina

Found in Samaria north of Jerusalem, Israel
