Aweidah Gallery is pleased to offer this extremely rare ancient CANAANITE Early Bronze Age pottery twin bowls

Dated from, 3150 - 2650 BC

Twin vessles appear in a wide range of shapes in the Early Bronze Age I-II. Twin vessels have been found both in tombs and in occupation levels, they are made by hand, with each of the component vessels being fashioned separately. The connection between the twins creating a single container, shows that it was intended to hold liquids. As twin vessels use, it seems likely that they were used on ceremonial occasions.
