Huichol Shaman hat or sombrero dating early 80's

Culture: Huichol -- Period: Collected early 80's but dating some years older. -- Region: Mexico -- Size: dia. 39 cm / 15.4 inch -- Description: This hat was carried by El Shaman and artist Martin De La Cruz during the early 80’s and used at ceremonies as known from the Huichols. The hat is decorated with a beaded band, pigeon fathers on top, beaded fringes and woven band below. A unique and original item. -- Condition: Choice. Profesionally cleaned some years ago. -- Provenance: M. De La Cruz, Collected by M. Aguet early 80's, 1998 Dutch Private Collector.
