A choice Maya carved cylinder from the Motagua Valley of Guatemala, ca. 400 800 AD. It is 6 high, 4 in diameter and is decorated with four deeply carved panels, as well as a broad rim band of highly detailed glyphs. Two of the panels depict a Vision Serpent, the other two are complex woven mat designs. Intact, nicely burnished, strong mineral deposits.

This choice example is 4 in diameter and depicts a feline in an aggressive stance, perched atop a chamber that most likely represents a ceremonial hut. An excellent Nayarit polychrome figure from West Mexico, ca. 200 BC 350 AD. This choice Ixtlan del Rio drummer is 4-3/4 high and is depicted standing behind a large drum, with his toes tucked under the rim of the instrument. He is adorned with a pointed hat, necklace, ear ornaments and bracelets. Paint is used to create extensive clothing and facial tattoos. In excellent condition, with calcification and mineral deposits.

A lovely Maya rattle figure from Jaina Island, Campeche, Mexico, ca. 400 700 AD. This wonderfully detailed mold-made figure is 8-1/2 high and depicts a standing woman of noble birth. She is elaborately attired with a long skirt, flowing huipil and an enormous ornament-studded headdress. An excellent Colima bed figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC 300 AD. It is 3-5/8 long and depicts a female tied to a funerary pallet. She is adorned with a simple headdress and ear ornaments, her head is resting on a cushion. These anecdotal figures represent women who died in childbirth.
