An exceptional Inca copper tumi from Peru, ca. 1300 1500 AD. This complex example is 6-1/2 high, has a 4 wide blade and is topped with a shaman flanked by a pair of birds, most likely representing spirit messengers. He is wearing a tumi-form headdress and has an owl behind him. Both sides of the flared shaft are covered with designs. Rare type, with strong mineral deposits.

An exceptional Chimu copper tumi from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This excellent ceremonial object is 6-1/2" long and contains rattles in its central chamber, which is incised with finely executed designed. The nicely detailed figure mounted on top is wearing a large tumi-shaped headdress. Both the figure and the chamber have intact shell inlays, an exceptionally rare feature. In excellent condition, with nice patina.
