An exceptional Inca copper tumi from Peru, ca. 1300 – 1500 AD. This complex example is 6-1/2” high, has a 4” wide blade and is topped with a shaman flanked by a pair of birds, most likely representing spirit messengers. He is wearing a tumi-form headdress and has an owl behind him. Both sides of the flared shaft are covered with designs. Rare type, with strong mineral deposits.

An exceptional Chimu copper tumi from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This excellent ceremonial object is 6-1/2" long and contains rattles in its central chamber, which is incised with finely executed designed. The nicely detailed figure mounted on top is wearing a large tumi-shaped headdress. Both the figure and the chamber have intact shell inlays, an exceptionally rare feature. In excellent condition, with nice patina.

A superb 4-tier nose ornament from the Diquis culture of Costa Rica, ca. 1200 – 1500 AD. This choice example is 1-3/8" in diameter and is made from 5 grams of high carat gold. It’s just a little dented, but displays beautifully. Rare type!

A fine Moche copper tumi from Peru, ca. 100 - 400 AD. This 7” long Loma Negra type ceremonial blade is topped with a nicely detailed warrior standing on a platform. He is depicted holding a large battle mace in one hand, a staff in the other and is elaborately adorned with a fancy headdress and jewelry. In excellent condition, with nicely oxidized patina.

An exceptional Diquis gold bracelet from Costa Rica, ca. 1000 – 1500 AD. This beautifully hammered, slightly convex example is 2-3/8" in diameter and weighs 6.3 grams. The inside shows the manufacturing process, which involved an anealing technique, starting with a thin sheet that would be repeatedly folded, heated and hammered. In superb condition.
