A wonderful juglet from the western Hindu Kush region, could be Sassanian, Bactrian or Ghandaran, ca 100 BC – 300 AD. This elegant ceramic vessel is 2-3/4” high and has a fine loop handle connecting the chamber and elongated spout. The chamber is decorated with deeply incised linear designs. In excellent condition, with strong mineral encrustation.

An excellent Kushan (Ghandharan) stone cosmetics dish from the Indus Valley, ca. 100 – 300 AD. This choice example measures 5” x 3-3/4” and is carved from greenish chlorite in a heart shape. There are three decorative projections in the form of floral designs. Nicely carved on all sides.

An excellent Kushan (Ghandharan) stone cosmetics dish from the Indus Valley, ca.100 – 300 AD. This lovely example measures 4” x 2-1/2”, is carved from greenish chlorite and features a nicely detailed lion facing the hollow tray portion. The underside is decorated with a floral pattern. Rare type.

An exquisite ceramic jar from the Nal culture, Indus Valley of Baluchistan, ca. 3000 – 2500 BC. It has a nicely flared rim, ring base and is 3-1/8" in diameter. This egg-shell thin vessel is painted with a series of geometric "nested box" designs, executed in brown over cream slip. In excellent condition.
