A choice Chorrera bowl from Ecuador, ca. 1200 200 BC. This large belly bowl is 5 in diameter and has the characteristic head protruding at the top. The edges are beautifully scalloped, with the upper side of the chamber incised with linear designs and the underside covered with the typical red slip. Nicely burnished, good mineral deposits and root marks.

A wonderful Maya polychrome vessel from the Yucatan region of Mexico, ca. 500 800 AD. This fine bowl is 6-1/2 in diameter and depicts three seated figures presenting ritual offerings in large bowls. They are wearing similar attire and headdresses and are portrayed in a state of transformation. The scene is painted against a white background, while the interior is painted black. Rare to find in such excellent condition, with good mineral deposits.

A magnificent Nopiloa deity figure from Vera Cruz, Mexico, ca. 600 900 AD. It is 11-1/2 high and depicts a deity with the head of a jaguar. He is posed standing, with arms held to the sides and is wearing an elaborate ceremonial scarf and knotted belt. A similar knotted ornament is seen at the back of his neck. A marvelous Cocle pedestal plate from Panama, ca. 600 800 AD. This superb Conte style frutero is 11-1/4 in diameter and is decorated with three panels of shamanic serpents. The dividing of the tondo into three equal sections is highly unusual in Cocle ceramic art, bisected or quartered motifs are far more typical. Virtually intact, with only minor restoration. Good mineral deposits, root marks and trails.
