| A fine Banshan-type Neolithic painted pottery jar from the Yellow River area of China, ca. 2500 BC. This choice Majiayao culture jar is 5-3/4 in diameter and beautifully decorated with complex designs in repeating patterns, circular on the chamber and diamonds on the rim. The loop handles have a serrated texture, even the interior of the flared rim is painted with linear designs. In excellent condition, with just minor rim wear. | ||
