| An excellent Moche Portrait head from Peru, ca. 500 – 700 AD. This impressive example is 6” high, 6-1/2” wide and depicts an elite individual portrayed with a wide grin. He is adorned with a chin strap, segmented necklace and large ear ornaments. The mouth and eyes are highlighted with white pigment and the red slip shows good mineral deposits.
