Our family founded our shop in 1908.

We specialize in antique oriental painting and calligraphy of the 16th-20th centuries, and nothing else.

As our grandfather (the second generation Tenkodo) put it:

What we offer to our guests must have for us the feeling of true art, we do not therefore deal in furniture or utensils.

At the present time, we of the fourth generation are being trained to do the same, to offer our guests the art we love,

It is because of your support for over 100 years that Yamazoe Tenkodo still exists today

and we will continue to build our experience of art to the utmost so that we may fulfill our responsibility to deepen our knowledge and understanding of the arts we offer here.
