A rare pair a French Directoire “Style” Bouillotte Lamps with Tole Shades and Ormolu Mounts, appendages, and pierced “dish” bases with three candle arms. The name “bouilotte” is derived from a card game popular in the French Directoire Period (1795-1799) and French Empire Era (1799-1815).
