An unprecedented Continental burl walnut snuff box, of circular form, with a raised coin silver medallion of George Washington in relief on the lid, the rims of the lid embellished with a strip of inlay, presumed to be ebony, circa 1795-1810. A number of similar snuff boxes are known, most featuring less costly stamped brass relief portraits of various Revolutionary War figures including Lafayette, Jefferson, Washington, and Franklin. A wonderful pair of European two-light candelabra with Athenienne form tripod bases, richly decorated with ormolu mounts (ormolu is a English term that is derived from the French phrase bronze dore dor moulu which translates into bronze gilded with ground gold) and patinated espresso colored bronze with accents of the Neo-Classical vocabulary, including embossed Griffins, a mythological animal in the form of a lions body with an eagles head and wings of Classical origin.

A very fine New York City mahogany sideboard or server of diminutive proportions, associated with the workshop of Duncan Phyfe, circa 1810, with well-carved lion paw feet, below water-leaf carved details and dazzling crotch mahogany veneers. Excellent surface and patination. The crest rail has stop fluted pilasters and the case has two candleslides to accommodate lighting devices.
