Magnificent Japanese late Meiji (1900-1910) ivory Okimono of a samurai with a long katana in his left hand and a fan in his right hand.
The okimono has a great stylized carving with magnificent details. It is carved from one piece of tusk. It has an original removable handle and a sword.
There is a red lacquer -inlaid signature of the artist.
It is solid and heavy by weight.
It is in excellent condition with no losses or damages.
6 1/4" tall x 7 1/4" deep x 4 1/2" wide.

Japanese Meiji Period (1900-1912) unusual covered lacquer Bowl made with unusual rimmed surface over the sides of the body and a cover with brownish lacquer on it, and dark-brown black lacquer over the rest of the bowl with fine maki-e technique flowers and gorgeous two -tone gold ikebana painting made with maki-e technique. There is a light glaze hairline on a side.
