Magnificent Japanese late Meiji (1900-1910) ivory Okimono of a samurai with a long katana in his left hand and a fan in his right hand. The okimono has a great stylized carving with magnificent details. It is carved from one piece of tusk. It has an original removable handle and a sword. There is a red lacquer -inlaid signature of the artist. It is solid and heavy by weight. It is in excellent condition with no losses or damages. 6 1/4" tall x 7 1/4" deep x 4 1/2" wide.

Outstanding Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) hand carved and very fine carved Tokyo school ivory Okimono of a seated priest with a fan and a koro on a log in front of him, signed by an artist The Okimono is fantastically detailed, stylized and has a scrimshaw work on man's clothes. Magnificent big Japanese wood lacquer Document Box with an inner tray, made with maki-e and hiromaki-e and nashiji technique decorations of flower bushes and blossoms on top and sides of the cover and the body of the box. The painting work is done over ruby-red basse- taile- like background. The interior of the box, the bottom and the tray are made with black lacquer. 13 1/2" long x 11" wide x 6" tall.

Japanese Meiji Period bell-shaped lidded Satsuma Jar finely decorated with nine panels over the top with samurai, boys, ladies, flowers, a landscape and butterflies, there are partly-raised Irises and a very detailed panoramic scene with attributes of Japanese life. Japanese Meiji Period Bronze dark-iron patinated tripod pierced Incense Burner with handles and a finial in a shape of Orchid, the lid has 12 air-release holes. The vase is signed with engraved signature. The front of the Koro has a scene with Paradise bird with gold beak and legs; the back of the Koro has two mon-shaped partly gilded leaf ornaments.
