Edo Period Japanese late 19th century big wood lacquer box with a removable insider tray. The interior of the box, the cover , tray and a bottom are with fine nashiji technique. The top and sides of the box have fine and details fans with maki-e tecnique; fans have various decorations on them. The box is in wonderful condition for its age with only one hairline on the corner and light scratches on the top; there are no losses on the lacquer work. 16 " x 13" x 5 1/2"

Very rare Edo Period Japanese tall Studio Satsuma style Vase with an extended long neck and a low relief enamel work over two big shields on the bottom: one with a scene of Kannon, tripod koro and shishi , mountains and flowers on the background. Another shield depicts a scene of a monk on a vase on waves with houses and mountains on the background.
