Museum quality Japanese Edo Period late 18-early 19th century Bizen stoneware okimono of a laying cat with magnificent details over its body and fur. This okimono is very detailed. The okimono has a dark-brown patina and looks like it is made from bronze. There is an inlaid seal of the maker on the side of cat's tail. 11 1/4" long 7 3/4" wide and 6 1/2" tall

Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Porcelain unusually shaped Vase by Makuzu Kozan. It is finely decorated and is made with iron oxidation color dragon on uneven tone-changing red to white background. The glaze on the bottom of the vase is worn but it still shows a signature of Makuzu Kozan. The signature is seen but it is hard to photograph it.The same signature is shown on page 128, Figure B. 22 of the Master Pottery of Meiji Japan by Clair Pollard. 12" tall x 6 1/2" D.

Fine museum quality Japanese Edo Period (late 18th-early 19th century) tripod gosu-blue Satsuma Jar with sculptural decorations. The lid has an okimono on top of it with two girls, one of which holds a sake cup with writing on it and another girl, in a running position, holds a big spoon on her shoulder and a cup in her right hand with writings on it. Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) under-glazed signed Koransha Vase , finely decorated with a panoramic scene of three men having a conversation, one looking up, and three men with a scrol and a boy. Over the top of the vase, on a red background enameling, there is gorgeous sakura blossoms decoration . The lower part of the vase has symbolic flowers and gold decortaions over blue background. 6 3/8" tall x 6" D.

Japanese Meiji Period (late 19th century) big wood lacquer box with an inner removable tray , finely decorated with a seascape with mountains, pagoda, temple and trees over the coast. There is maki-e, hiromakie and nashiji works over the black lacquer background and Pine trees over the interior. Nashiji background is throughout the box. The box is in pristine condition. The box is 6 1/2" long x 13 1/2" wide 5 1/4" tall.
