Japanese wood (zetan) and ivory lacquered Okimono of a woman dancer on her knee with her hands raised in a dance move. The ivory parts are finely detailed and fine hand-carved , on a Tokyo School level. One piece of wood (zetan) and dancer's obi are magnificently decorated with maki-e and hiromaki-e golden silver lacquer works. All parts are original and are covered with original age patina. 6" tall x 3 7/8" wide x 3 1/4" deep.

Japanese Meiji Period wood, ivory and gold lacquered okimono of a man on a deer with a flute in his hand, on original wood base. Hands, feet , face and hair are finely hand carved from ivory. There is a wonderful lacquer work over the okimono and magnificent fine carving over the body and head of the deer. The deer has shibayama inlaid eyes. It has an original age patina. 6 1/2" long x 6 3/4" tall x 3" deep (without the base)

Very fine Japanese Meiji Period Tokyo School Ivory Okimono of a dreaming painter. The painter leans against the table, next to hibachi, with various painting staff (on and around the table). There is a carved screen decorated with a scene of Raiden with drums and a landscape over the back of it. There are also two okimonos of funny oni in dynamic positions. One oni mixes paints with his right hand and holds a bowl in his left hand. Another oni hangs over the screen with a brush in his right hand ...click for details

The vase is in original condition with only some stress lines on the background of the vase. There are no chips, no losses of enamel, and no restorations. Magnificent Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) tone changing Porcelain Vase signed by Masukichi Kawamoto. It is decorated with blue and white color enamel with apple and flower blossoms with branches design over the tone changing light-blue to white color enamel background, imitating morning fog. The unglazed signature of the artist is on the bottom of the vase. 7 3/4" tall x 5" D.
