| This is Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Tokyo School Bronze partly gilded lidded Jar with 6 feet and 2 handles. The top of the lid is decorated with sculptures of two boys, one holding Shinto flag and another one standing on his knee and playing plates. The Jar has two finely carved Paradise birds , gilded flowers and other various ornaments. The boys and a flag are made in Miyao style. The Jar has a beautiful dark-brown patina. There are no losses or damages, no wear to gold. 19 ½” tall x 10 ¼” D. | |||||||||||||||
