Japanese Satsuma Incense Burner by Chin Jukan
Japanese This is a museum quality Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Satsuma Incense Burner with a magnificent okimono of a boy with a scroll and a brush, seated on top of a sphere (as a lid). It is finely decorated with two decorative scrolls - one with a boy and the other one with samurai and a servant. The boy has a finely painted kimono. The Incense Burner has a tripod base with cylinder opening for incense and a sculptural dragon around it . An air release hole is inside the boy's mouth. The measurements are 8" tall x 3 3/4" It is in excellent condition with no damages. The Incense Burner is attributed to Chin Jukan.
