| ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE ANTIQUE VINTAGE EDWARDIAN ART DECO, circa 1900’s, LARGE MINE CUT WHITE SAPPHIRE, and PLATINUM FINISHED 18K WHITE GOLD FILIGREE RING atributed to BELAIS BROTHERS. This is just an incredible piece, one of the finest of filigree mountings I have had the pleasure of offering with a wonderful original old mine cut white Sapphire gemstone sparkling in its center. The center of this exceptional ring holds and a large, approximately just under 8mm or 2 carats (+/-) White Sapphire in a beautiful old antique Mine Cut, original to the mounting. The setting is equally exceptional in the best of Antique Filigree with crisp detail, Milligrained work, and floral details. The setting is composed of solid 18K White Gold and appears to have a PLATINUM or Rhodium finish which is common in these antique Deco beauties. The inside of the shank is marked 18K and although unsigned it is attributed to the Belais Brothers, one of the finest of New York jewelers of the Era. All of the quality and design elements suggest Belais as well as the very deep cut of the stone, and is very similar to other signed Belais pieces that I have had over the years. Their jewelry has a certain signature quality that you just do not find from other jewelers of the Era. The entire ring measures about 8mm long by about 3/4 inch wide and is in beautiful estate condition. I was very fortunate to come across this beauty as they rarely surface anymore. This piece is fresh from an estate collection and offered to you first here on Trocadero. A beautiful ring to enjoy everyday or a very sentimental wedding ring. Ring Size: Approximately 6 (could be resized by your jeweler or ask about our resizing services through the local jeweler). | |||||||||||
