| A Wonderful Antique Cameo Brooch, Vintage Victorian Scenic Pin, circa mid-19th Century with Ornate Floral Bezel. This beautiful cameo is composed of hand carved shell, most likely originating in Italy circa mid-19th Century. The cameo depicts a scene with a woman standing by a bridge with a tree and a farm house in the background. The carving is quite artfully done and is not the typical cameo carving that you commonly see on the market. The cameo is beautifully set in an original antique period setting composed of gold gilt with ornate leaf, vine, and floral buds design. The cameo is a good size and measures about 2 inches long by about 1 3/4 inches wide. The pin closed with the original "C" style clasp. The piece was acquired through an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition. | ||||||||
