Fine small Ming bronze Buddhist devotee. This was part of larger altar table ensemble and looks to be cut away from a larger base. There are traces of red lacquer on the robes (please note that the red color is much more subdued in real life than the photos would indicate). The sculpture itself is in excellent condition and comes with a custom-made museum quality perspex stand. 7.8cm/3in actual height and 11cm/4.3in mounted on stand.

19th century Tibetan men’s saddle. Decorated in iron meander patterned brackets and fittings with sharkskin covering front and back. The front and back are also made with a hardwood, called “saddle wood”,(appropriately enough), by Tibetans and is highly prized and very expensive to have a saddle made with this wood today, unfortunately I do not know the botanical or English name.
