Fanciful archaistic style Buddha- the pattern on the mandorla corresponds to a documented and dated Eastern Wei image from a Chinese publication I have, although it seems to emulate styles from other early periods as well, i.e. Qi, Tang etc. This piece is of no significant age, but taken in the context of its craftsmanship and artistic qualities it is a lovely piece. There are a couple of cracks in the bronze legs but no breakage. H: 13.3cm/5.2cm and W: 5.5cm/2.1.
