Beautiful Miao woman’s apron with black calendered cotton cloth, and green commercial (possibly polyester) border, and fine silk embroidered center panel with hand woven silk embellished apron ties, from Guizhou. The colors in center panel are particularly luscious and I would date this piece 30 to 50 years of age. W: 40cm/15.8in and L: 43cm/17in.

Good woman’s skirt panel or apron from the Yi minority, approximately 40 to 60 years old. Interesting Jun glazed bowl from Shekwan. Difficult to date, oldish (at least 30 or 40 years- possibly even Republic). The glaze and shape faithfully recreates the Jun wares of the Song/Yuan era but the slip is a dead giveaway to its Shekwan origins. Fine brush painting of a tiger, signed Li Shou Lin dated 1978. Painted in the traditional Qing style using water color and ink mounted on silk and heavy paper. Mounted dimensions L: 172cm/68in and H: 85cm/33in, dimensions of painting only L: 137cm/54 and H: 68cm/27in. In excellent codition, please note the turned up edge in the lower left corner is just the result of it being constantly rolled up and refusing to lie flat while photographing.

First half of the 20th century, carved bamboo brush pot. Well crafted carvings depicting two panels of Chinese garden scenes with scholars and three panels with the “Three Friends of Winter”. This item is very finely carved on thin bamboo there is a small crack below the hole drilled into the bottom on second photo. Other than that, the condition is excellent. Dimensions 13.4cm/5.2in height and 7.2cm/2.9in diameter.
