| SOLD Blue John pendant with the sterling silver marks of RW, crown, 3/4 side posed lion and a letter holds an often referred to as a scarce stone practically mined out of existence, at least for larger items, in the Derby England area. This scarce gemstone also referred to as Derby Spar, fluorite, or fluorspar was originally found in England during the 19th century and was named Blue John for the French "bleu et jaune", although here more "violette et jaune", is a very desirable collectible.
