Let's talk of about condition: there is some dulling of stone facets most appropriate for age, some discoloration to the metal. This occurs underneath those fabulous dragons and to the left of them, there is greening in teenie areas. Let's face it people, this was a much loved sash! The curled corners are a bit shiny as are some of the hammered areas. Perhaps the last owner rubbed the dragons for good luck! What does all this say? That it was enjoyed for these 100 years. The important thing is that this is a fabulous classic George Steere, heavy, sturdy, highly collectible piece sure to last a few hundred more. Why wait, make this yours today!
This is hand hammering, from personal experience, the marks are not perfect and are often superimposed. To earn free USPS/Priority/Ins/DC please mail your $350 USA check or USPS Money order to: Mimi Dee Artwear - POB 458 - Methuen, MA 01844
