Do you know how you can tell if this was indeed hand hammered by the artist? Note the irregular "divots" made by the artist's hammer.
"Designer" or "artisan" jewelry sold by the 1000's on tv and/or in stores, are machine hammered. Look for their very, very uniform marks.
