A fine and beautiful Rookwood Pottery vase, 1900. The vase in a standard glaze decorated with lotus blossoms by the the important Rookwood artist Kataro Shirayamadani. The surface is decorated in relief and has deep and rich tones of amber brown and green. The base is marked with his signature, the Rookwood logo corresponding to 1900, a wheel ground X, and the shape number 531 C.
