A fine partial set of a floral painted Derby porcelain, England circa 1820. The set is comprised of 11 ten inch plates, 8 ten inch soup bowls, 5 small 8" bread plates, 3 platters, and a small sauce tureen with under plate. Each piece with a moulded gadrooned edge surrounding an outer border in cobalt blue with floral painted reserves. The centers are painted with colorful floral bouquets. A fine and rare Minton Fern and Foxglove majolica jardiniere, 1873. The jardiniere is glazed in vibrant green tones with white blossoms with touches of pink. The background is in a rich brown glaze. The base impressed Mintons and with the shape number 1056. It is additionally stamped with the year mark for 1873. Condition: very good with some minor glaze frits on some of the higher points. The city hall of New York is depicted in the center field of the plate and is surrounded with floral medallions. Condition: Very good with minor wear consistent with the age of the plate. The honey-colored majolica wall pocket, shaped like a bellows, would be a festive addition to a dining area, or in the kitchen. It measures 9 1/2" high, 6 1/4" wide, and 2" deep. It is in excellent condition. Our estimate is that it is from c. 1900, and perhaps English.

This unmarked, but definitely Worcester ensamble consists of five saucers, five coffee canns (cups), five tea bowls, and one waste bowl, for a grand total of sixteen pieces, all in superb condition. The simple floral decoration is in burgandy and gold. all five trios and the waste bowl are in fine condition. The waste bowl measures 6" in diameter, and 2 1/2' in height.
