A Late Nineteenth Century German Mettlach 1 liter beer stein. The stein is fitted with a pewter rimmed lid and thumb rest. The outer surface is decorated in high relief with three panels depicting drinking figures. Each reserve with descriptive text below. The base is marked Villeroy & Boch Mettlach and is incised with the number 1005. Condition: Excellent. Dimensions: Height 10 1/4", Width 6".
