Mounted on a mocha colored velvet cloth and framed in gold, this Limoges, or Limoges-style French plaque itself measures 2 1/2" x 3", while the mounted work measures 6 1/2" x 5 1/2". The plaque displays a scene of the nativity with Joseph watching Mary and the infant Jesus being adored by angels. The piece is in excellent condition, museum quality framing and dates from c. 1900
