A fine and rare Eighteenth Century Georgian China Trade carved rosewood armchair circa 1780. The chair has a shaped crest with a carved open work "Gothic" splat over an over-upholstered trapezoidal shaped seat. The arms with a serpentine contour are joined to the back legs and side-rails. Below the drawers are two side cupboards and a center cupboard with bowed doors. Flanking the center cupboard are two narrow cutlery drawers.
