A fine French Regence Period carved fauteuil, circa 1720. The caned back with a shaped crest with a shell centered with carved acanthus vines. The arms with acanthus, bellflower and shell carving. The four cabriole legs with shells and acanthus carving joined with a serpentine flat stretcher. Condition: Excellent with original finish and fine color.
