A fine 19th Century Japanese lacquer box. The rectangular lidded box with convex sides and short bracket feet is decorated with a brown lacquer ground over gold. The surface with inlaid abalone and white shell. Condition is excellent. Dimensions: Height 2 1/8", Depth 4", Width 5 1/4".
