This is an exquisite example of old Victorian period Bohemian garnet jewelry. This brooch is in the form of a snow flake with faceted little garnet flowers. The garnets have wonderful fiery red color. The piece is set in gilt silver, which is typical of that period. It dates c. 1880 an measures 1 5/8" in diameter.
