A fabulous and unusual pair of Art Deco period platinum long dangling pierced earrings, c. 1920. The top of the earring is a circle with 5 old mine cut diamonds. Then there is a faceted crystal and onyx bead leading to a filigree triangular design with a diamond. The chain leads to an opaque brown polished stone that appears to be a smoky topaz. The stones can rotate in their rosette connectors. The earrings test platinum, but are not marked. The top platinum wires are contemporary. The earrings date c. 1920. One of the stones has two minor surface abrasions which are barely noticeable and can be polished out. Otherwise, the earrings are in excellent condition. They measure 3 1/4" in total height.
