Rare Danish studio pottery bust of girl with beautifully glazed headscarf made by Helge Christoffersen (1925-1965), Denmark. Helge Christoffersen was trained as a sculptor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he worked with artists like Einar Utzon-Frank, Rudolph Tegner, J.F. Willumsen and Jais Nielsen. From 1947 he made works for Royal Copenhagen. Mint condition. Signed with the sculptor's monogram. 12 1/4 inches tall.

Corneille was one of the founders of the main modernist movements in Europe in the 1940s. First the Reflex movement in 1948 and later the Cobra movement in 1949. His works are represented in museums of modern art all over the world. Signed: Corneille 76 numbered 26/150 in pencil. Perfect condition. Height: 29 3/4 inches high and 22 inches wide.
