Beautiful small stoneware vase designed by Gerd Bogelund (b. 1923) for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Cream and brown glaze (Spring motif). Bogelund worked for Royal Copenhagen until 1942, and she returned in 1946 working as an artist-in-residence. Signed: Royal Copenhagen GB monogram. Good condition, some crazing. 4.5 inches tall (11.5 cm). 4.3 inches wide (11 cm).
Stoneware vase designed by Lisa Enquist (b. 1914) for Bing and Grøndahl, Denmark. Mustard and brown glaze. Lisa Enquist was trained at the Copenhagen Art-Craftsman School. Rare art nouveau vase (skonvirke) from the Danish factory Moller & Bogelys Keramiske Kunstbrænderi. The factory existed only for four years (1917-1920). They produced exclusively unique items. The works from the this factory was inspired by Thorvald Bindesboll, organic forms and decorations. This vase is glazed in green and brown colors on raised pattern. 9 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide. Signed: Factory mark 8 EP(artist). Excellent condition.
