Interesting art deco dancer from the Rosenthal Bahnhof-selb factory, Germany. About 1925. The figure is designed by the Russian Dorothea Charol who was a member of the Russian colony of Russian emigrants in Berlin. In the 1920s she was the most prominent designer for the art department of the Bahnhof-selb factory. Gustav Oppel (1891-1971) was one of the most outstanding artists at the Rosenthal Selbworks, where he made figures and ornamental porcelain.
