| A vase and bowl set designed by Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) for Upsala-Ekeby in 1965. Olive and brown glazing. Both pieces have incised pattern. Mari Simmulson was educated at the Art School, Tallin, Estonia; Arabia, Finland; and at the Academy of Visual Art in Germany. She was employed at Gustavsberg, where she worked together with Wilhelm Kage. From 1942-72 she was the leading artist at Upsala-Ekeby. Signed (bowl): UE Sweden 7012 MS. (Vase UE Sweden 7016 MS. Mint condition. Height of vase: 5 1/2 inches. Diameter of bowl: 7.6 inches. | ||
