Stoneware figurine depicting Europe and the Bull designed in 1930 by Gertrud Kudielka (1896-1984)for L. Hjorth, Denmark. Grey/green glazing. Gertrud Kudielka was born in Slovakia and her training as a sculptor took place in Prague and Berlin. She worked for L. Hjorth from 1930-39 and 1949-64. Excellent condition. Marked: L. Hjorth Danmark artist's initials. 7 3/4 inches tall, 6 3/4 inches wide.
