| A touch of history ... Sparkling strass late Art Deco (interbellum) pendent earrings. In our everlasting quest to find fresh antique jewelry we stumbled upon a real treasure. A jeweler's stock that has been in the family vaults for over 80 years. It is not often that we find jewelry that has been "trapped" in a time capsule. All jewelry in this stock was brand new when it was stored decades ago and besides a little dusting off we didn't have to do anything to offer it in its original splendour. This is as close to "brand new antique jewelry" as it can get. Object group: earrings Country of origin: Most probably Belgium Style: Interbellum Style specifics: The Interbellum is the period between the two World Wars and one can recognize a transition from the Art Deco style to the Retro style. Period: ca. 1930 (events and facts in 1930) Material: 18K bi-color (yellow and white) gold, although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver. Precious stones: Six brilliant cut white strass or paste stones as diamond-imitation.
