Celebrating our 33rd anniversary, ADORN from Apriori Antique Jewelry features fine antique and estate jewelry, as well as selected smalls and antiques. In our collection you will find exquisite examples from the Georgian, Victorian, Art Nouveau, Edwardian, Art Deco, Retro and Moderne periods. Lynne Arkin, Graduate Gemologist
Apriori Antiques, established in 1977, was Lynne Arkin’s response to her passion for antique jewelry and antique objets d’art. The business has traveled a fascinating and rich journey, taking her to the GIA where she earned her GG (Graduate Gemologist) degree, to antique shows around the US, to shopping trips across Europe, Asia and South America, hunting for the special and unique pieces for which she is recognized. She has had two shops in the San Francisco Bay Area, her last in San Francisco which she closed in 2006. She continues to buy, sell, and appraise jewelry. She has taught classes for budding entrepreneurs interested in antique jewelry, she gives speeches on what establishes the value of a piece of jewelry, she currently consults in the auction world and she continues to find jewelry for her devoted clientele of many years. She is a member of the GIA Alumni and supports the WJA, Women’s Jewelry Association. Lynne establishes special relationships with her clients because, as she loves to declare, “I cherish people even more than jewelry.” Her other favorite statement is, “Antique jewelry is my drug of choice!”
