Beautifully crafted, this three dimensional sterling box is a wearable piece of art. The interior is gilt, with a hallmark for Gaston Bardies, a Frenchman whose shop was located at 13 rue des Fontaines in Paris, from 1897 until 1914. The box measures 1 9/16" in diameter and weighs 18.2 grams. Condition is excellent. Suspended on a sterling chain or a velvet cord, this precious box would be not only beautiful, but also functional.
