This is a rare pair of day and night earrings from mid 19th century Mexico. The day portion of the earrings features a split natural pearl set in a 22k yellow gold flower. The night portion of the earrings features rows of rubies, most likely imported from India, set in a cone of 22k yellow gold, embellished with small articulated natural pearls.
