This is a lovely little portrait of a woman wearing a ruffled lace collar and feathered hat. Painted on ivory in the late 1800's, this miniature is set in a charming little frame with a beveled green glass back. The diameter of the frame is 2 1/2 inches. Exquisitely painted on mother-of-pearl, this lovely, fair-haired girl peeks out from under the bow of an ornately engraved 18k yellow gold frame with cobalt blue enamel. Blue skies and white clouds are her backdrop. This lovely Victorian miniature can be worn as a pendant, or the bail may be removed and a ribbon slid through the back so that it can be worn in other ways.
